“Serve to the best of your ability.”

Best advice/skill received: How the Army runs

What was the best and worst 'military' food you were served, and why? The worst food: Army Apprentice School – not a lot care taken with preparation. The best food: RAAF Base Wagga Wagga - hot and plenty of choices.

What effect did your military experience have on your life? I learnt discipline and a trade which I was able to use in civilian life.

Funny recollection during time of service:

Driving a Land Rover at Woomera and having the gear stick break off at the ball joint.
