The Portrait Session
Fine Art Portrait Session
Nicholas's fine art portrait sessions can be captured in a variety of settings to suit your individual preference, either in his studio, outdoors or in your own home. He doesn't rush the process needed to capture genuine, artistic expressions. Each session lasts approximately two hours to fully capture you in images you'll cherish for a lifetime.
To reserve your session date a session fee is due at the time of booking. Session fees start from $150.
Once your session is complete the process will take several weeks, during which you will be kept informed regarding the progress. At the completion you will be invited to visit our studio for a personalised viewing.
All session prints are mounted ready for framing in your own frame, or we can organise custom framing for you. Choose from an array of products designed to suit your home and budget, including individual custom prints, canvases, acrylics and hand made albums. Gift prints are priced from $160 for a 11 x 7, with collections priced from $1100.

Helpful hints
We recommend you choose clothes you feel comfortable in.
A good option is classic clothing that will remain timeless in your photographs.
Plain clothing without logos works well. Try to avoid heavily patterned clothing and stripes as this can date. Having said that, if we’re photographing your toddler then having a change of clothes that features a memorable item is a great option.
Wear colours that compliment each other. To help a family shot really come together have one person’s outfit influence what everyone else wears, ie if Mum’ wearing a blue dress then it’s great if everyone else’s outfits have some blue in them.
Neutral colours and denim work well.
With small children and babies bring an extra set of clothes and bring some warm clothing for children just in case.
Bring along a favourite toy (but keep hidden).
Minimal makeup has a greater longevity in photographs.
If there’s an item in your life that really shouts ‘you’ then bring it along. It may be a teddy, a basketball or a musical instrument.
